It’s no secret that I love Canada! So far I’ve visited 8 of the 10 Canadian provinces that I’ve featured in my national Travel Therapy TV segments where I’m the creator and host traveling to the most inspiring and empowering places on the planet.

So I could haven’t have been more honored and thrilled to be asked to host a wonderful HarperCollins Canada Christmas event coming up on December 1st, at the world-class, beloved Toronto Christmas Market. I’ve featured this market in one of my Travel Therapy segments so I know how magical it is.

That said, when I was first ask to come to Toronto I wasn’t sure how I’d find the time…

Writing three Christmas movies and three Christmas novels this last 18-month has more working 24/7, including writing new novels and movies for next year, but like I wrote in my Lifetime movie Every Day is Christmas starring Toni Braxton, you have to make time for the things and people who matter most.

So, I’m taking my own Christmas movie advice and saying yes, when I think it matters most, and that includes hosting this Toronto event for HarperCollins Canada.

As the press has nicknamed me “Christmas Karen” this HarperCollins Canada event is the perfect combination of so many things I love at Christmas.

We’ll be doing Christmas cookie decorating and there will be signed copies of my latest Christmas novel Finding Christmas.

I’ll also be be doing a fun Q/A about my Christmas novels and Christmas movies, including talking about writing the Netflix hit A Christmas Prince and Hallmark’s Christmas Camp where I also wrote the novels Christmas Camp and Christmas Camp Wedding.

Perfect timing because my Christmas Camp novel was also just re-released as a special edition that now includes the sequel and includes a family favorite Christmas cookie recipe.

My Christmas Camp movie actually had its world premiere in Toronto last year in theaters and I flew in to see it on the big screen. That was a surreal experience and one I’ll always cherish. So it just makes sense to come back to Toronto this year to continue to celebrate all things Christmas!

The special Christmas event I’m hosting in Toronto is on December 1st at the Toronto Christmas Market and because that’s over Thanksgiving weekend in the US, I decided to fly in on Thanksgiving day and spend my entire holiday in Toronto, and stay at the new award-winning St. Regis Toronto for the ultimate “Travel Therapy” experience. I wanted to stay somewhere special for my holiday, as I’m working on my next novel and several screenplays, and having the right “Travel Therapy” always inspires me to do my best work. I can’t wait to experience this top-rated Toronto hotel that’s already getting lots of buzz for it’s fabulous culinary and jaw-dropping suites.

It’s hard to believe we’re already into November and that means I’ll be heading to Toronto soon! I am so looking forward to hosting this Christmas event. It really is an honor.

I hope to see you there if you’re in Toronto or visiting this fabulous city that is truly extra special at Christmas.

If I miss you in Toronto I’m also hosting my special Karen Schaler’s Christmas Camp at The Phoenician right after, starting Dec 5th and running until Dec 16th, in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is where I’m bringing my Hallmark Christmas movie Christmas Camp and novels to life so people can be immersed in their own Christmas movie magic and have their own happily ever after!

For more events, Christmas movie and book news, special giveaways, etc, be sure to sign up for my newsletter. I only send them out when there are new exciting things to share, so don’t worry you won’t be getting weekly emails all year long!
