Having a great time shooting an NBC TODAY show segment talking about writing 3 Christmas movies & 3 Christmas books in the last 18 months (aka “Christmas Karen) & bringing my Christmas Camp Hallmark movie and novels to life, creating a real-life Christmas Camp at The Phoenician resort where everyone’s invited!
A big thank you to NBC TODAY correspondent Joe Fryer and the entire crew for helping me share my story that I hope helps inspires anyone watching by seeing that anything is possible if you follow your heart, never give up, and always believe.

Below I’ve shared some more fun behind the scenes shots taken at our TV shoot that was at one of my favorite places to visit at Christmas in New York City, The Metropolitan Museum of Art at the beloved 20-foot blue spruce Christmas tree with it’s 18th century Neapolitan Nativity scene.
In the interview I talk about writing my first Christmas movie, the NETFLIX hit A Christmas Prince that has two sequels, A Christmas Prince The Royal Wedding and A Christmas Prince the Royal Baby.
I also share how after A Christmas Prince I went on to write Christmas Camp the movie for Hallmark.
After writing the Christmas Camp movie I also decided to write the Christmas Camp book and the sequel Christmas Camp Wedding, landing a three-book publishing deal with HarperCollins.
I followed writing my Christmas Camp movie and books with another Christmas movie for 2018. This one was for Lifetime starring the amazing Toni Braxton called Every Day is Christmas.
For this year, I’ve written another Christmas movie for Lifetime coming out December 15th called Rediscovering Christmas.I also have a new novel called Finding Christmas where I’ve also written the screenplay.
Finding Christmas has just been released and is in stores and online now. I had so much fun writing this one! It’s a rom com about a holiday scavenger hunt, a Christmas town and a dog named Dasher.
Also, just released is a special edition of my Christmas Camp novel that now includes the sequel all in one book!
One of the things I’m most excited to talk about is bringing my Christmas Camp Hallmark movie and books to life creating a real-life Christmas Camp at the award-winning Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Over the first two weeks in December I’ll be hosting all the activities at my Karen Schaler’s Christmas Camp where I’ve partnered with The Phoenician to create magical holiday activities for grownups so we can all celebrate being a child at heart and the true meaning and magic of the season.
