Pre-order show retailers and libraries how much excitement there is for a book and that helps determine if they’re going to order it. I’m a hybrid author where I’ve worked with HarperCollins and this will be my forth self-published Christmas novel under my own publishing company HawkTale Publishing. I won’t lie, it is so challenging to try and compete with all the powerhouse traditional publishers, but pre-orders can really help even that playing field for authors like myself. So, know if you can pre-order it truly does make a difference.
